A 90s kid who never stopped collecting

It started the way it does for a lot of us — a trip to the store with dad, a pack of Pokémon cards, and a feeling that stuck for life. Growing up in the 90s, Pokémon wasn't just a game. It was the thing. The cards, the show, the culture — all of it.

Years passed, life happened, but the collection never fully stopped. Then 2020 came. Like a lot of collectors, that year pulled me back in hard — back to opening packs, tracking down sealed products, and rediscovering why this hobby meant so much in the first place.

The mission became real fast: collect every Elite Trainer Box ever made. From the very first one, all the way forward as each new set drops. Every set. Every ETB. Every era of this game I grew up loving.

The hobby deserved better protection

As the collection grew, so did a real problem: how do you protect all of it? ETBs, booster boxes, Japanese imports, graded slabs — all different sizes, all different needs, and no single place to get cases that actually fit properly and looked good doing it.

What was out there was a mess — random sellers on eBay, inconsistent quality, some too thin, some with bad fit, no unified standard. For a collection this serious, that wasn't good enough.

So rather than settling, I did something about it. For myself first — and then for every collector dealing with the same problem.
